★いってきます / ittekimasu ★いってらっしゃい / itterasshai When you leave home for work, school, etc, we say “ittekimasu” to a family member. literally means” I am leaving”, but could be ” bye for now, see you later. And the family members respond with “itterasshai” which means “have a safe trip, take care”. They are one of the Japanese greeting phrases.
