June has just started. I guess I have to explain about つゆ/ tsuyu ( rainy season) in Japan. Tsuyu starts in June and it lasts for a month. Rain pours more than during the rest of the year. Personally, I don’t like this season. It’s humid every day, cloudy everyday, wet everywhere, but the tsuyu is very important for farmers in Japan, because it is an essential time for our rice field. Rice need a lot of water to grow for the initial period of time. As I told you, rice is very important for Japanese …….. like religion! haha I found a Japanese rice field art on website. it’s cool ya?
